Cased Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver with Accessories
Manufactured in 1860. The revolver has the standard two line New York address in brackets on the top barrel flat, "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame and the stagecoach holdup scene roll-engraved on the cylinder. Matching serial number on the cylinder, barrel, frame, trigger guard and backstrap, with the partial serial number (2034) on the loading lever. The wedge numbered to a different gun (21218). Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished grip. Complete with a partitioned wooden case lined in wine colored velvet. Included are the following accessories: a "COLTS / PATENT" marked two cavity brass bullet mold, a bag shaped powder flask and a tin of percussion caps, which is off of a cartridge board.

Fine. The barrel retains 50% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The cylinder has a smooth gray patina with traces of blue. Most of the cylinder engraving remains. The frame has a smooth gray patina with limited flashes of case colors in the protected areas. The loading lever retains approximately 40% of the case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina. The backstrap and trigger guard retain 80% of the original silver plating. The grip is excellent with some minor dings and scratches. Most of the varnish remains. Action needs work as the cylinder does not rotate properly. The case is fine with some mild handling marks. The much faded interior lining is good with some minor wear. The bullet mold is very good with an even aged patina with numerous minor dings. The replacement flask is fine, retaining approximately 70% of the lacquer with some minor handling marks.
