Manufactured in 1964, this revolver is 1 of 5,000 revolvers manufactured celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Colonel Samuel Colt's birth. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side "1814 - COL. SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL MODEL - 1964" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The cylinder is engraved with floral scroll designs, the Rampant Colt, Colt factory dome and the likeness of a Paterson revolver. Blue frame, ejector housing, trigger and frame, with nickel on the remaining parts. Fitted with smooth walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. Complete in a wooden case with "To "LINDY"/FROM THE UDYLITE GANG/DECEMBER 1, 1968/One OF 5000/COLONEL SAML COLT/SESQUICENTENNIAL MODELS/1814 - 1964" inscribed silver plaque on the outside of the lid and wine colored French cut lining with a copy of the book "The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt" by R.L. Wilson, Sesquicentennial medallion, 12 nickel dummy 45 caliber cartridges in a wooden bullet block and two keys.

Condition:
Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish and 99% original nickel finish with a small area on the front of the frame showing a small area of finish loss and very minor pitting. The cylinder shows a drag line. Overall there are a few light scratches and handling marks. The grips are excellent with only slight handling/storage marks. The case is near excellent with some crazing of the varnish on the lid and overall a few minor dings. The lining is excellent with minimal contact wear.
