Cased Bruchet Darne SxS Model R-17 shotgun, 28 gauge, 25-1/8” barrels, blue finish, extensively engraved steel receiver, deluxe custom wood stock, #SPC 920, lower tang hand engraved “EAG 010 Loren Thomas Ltd”. This gun is in overall like new condition showing little handling, fine bores with fine scroll and leaf engraving on both breech areas of the barrels, ivory ball front sight; receiver shows unique slide-to-rear action, beautifully accomplished full scroll high relief engraving, hand oiled Walnut deluxe stocks show fine checkering, beautiful graining and a checkered horn butt plate; distance from the front of the forward trigger to the rear of the stock is 15-1/8” with the horn butt plate adding another 1/8” to the overall pull. The case is in excellent condition and is leather over wood with two brass suitcase locks, a leather suitcase handle and two leather securing straps and buckles; the presentation plaque on the top of the case is inscribed “Fusil Bruchet France, Loren Thomas Ltd”; the interior of the case is excellent and lined in a green baize material with accessories including two metal 28 gauge snap caps, deluxe wood cleaning rod with end piece accessories in a black leather casing and a Pachmayr leather fore barrel protector. A very high grade 28 gauge in minty condition. Est.: $6,000-$12,000.
