Cased Alvin A. White Engraved and Signed Silver and Gold Plated Colt Second Generation First Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver with Factory and R. L. Wilson Letters

This example has a profuse amount of "Donut" style scroll engraving on the rear section of the barrel, the barrel lug, the sides of the loading lever, the frame, the trigger guard bow, the back strap and the butt. The hammer is engraved with the wolf's head design on each side and the wedge has little flourishes of engraving on each end. The barrel, frame and grip straps are silver plated with the loading lever assembly, cylinder and hammer gold plated. The wedge, screws and trigger are nitre blue. The right side of the front strap is stamped "AWHITE" underneath the nicely figured smooth walnut one piece grip. The R. L. Wilson letters states the revolver was manufactured circa 1985, that it was purchased in the white from the factory, that it was custom engraved by Alvin A. White in the Donut scroll style and that it is signed on the left side of the front strap "AW". The factory letter does not mention any special features and states that it was shipped to Sportsmans Emporium, Ltd. On December 17th, 1980 with the finish as "Blue" and the type of stocks as "Not Listed". With a Colt Custom Shop walnut case lined in wine colored velvet and a Colt Black Powder series box numbered to another gun.
