**Cased 20 Gauge Browning Diana Grade Superposed Shotgun Multi-Gauge Set with 28 Gauge and .410 Barrel Inserts by Purbaugh. Serial no. 29463 V. 20 gauge. 28-inch barrels with matted ventilated rib with double beads. Barrels marked: 2 3/4"; and 3";. Coin finished action fully engraved with floral designs and game scenes: Left side: group of pheasants in a woodland setting, right side: group of ducks in a woodland pond. Underside shows a pair of pigeons in flight and a pair of hares. Engraving signed by V. Watrin. Ejectors. Gold plated single selective trigger. Non-automatic safety. Long tang. Finely checkered semi-pistolgrip stock of highly figured walnut with a round knob. Maker's recoil pad. Finely checkered standard size fore-end. Gun dates to 1964. Two sets of Purbaugh barrel inserts in 28 gauge and .410. Tools for insert removal: hammer, wooden dowels, and plastic mandrel. Extra extractors in 28 and .410 gauge. Later tan synthetic leather covered trunk case marked: Multi-Gauge by Purbaugh & Sons with brown velvet interior and two brass locks. Brass corner protectors. Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.613/0.611 inches. Chokes: 0.005/0.005 inches (Cylinder). Chambers: 3 inches. Minimum wall thickness: 0.033 inches. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 14 1/4 inches. Drop at comb: 1 1/4 inches. Drop at heel: 2 7/8 inches. Cast-off: 5/16 inches. Weight: 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Condition: Very Good, as partially redone. Barrels show 96-98% reblued finish with majority of losses in front of the fore-end. Reset ventilated rib. Top barrel shows six very slight surface distortions spaced evenly from the front end of the fore-end to the muzzle at the rib supports caused by rib repair. Distortions are not visible in the bore. Excellent bright bores with some frosting in front of the chambers. Gold plated trigger shows losses. Stock and fore-end show numerous very light marks.
