Immortalized as Sam, the piano player who sings "As Time Goes By," in Casablanca. Interestingly, Wilson didn’t know how to play the piano. In the film, the piano was empty and the music came from a pianist located behind the camera. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of Wilson sitting at a piano, signed in fountain pen, “Good luck, ‘As time goes by’ Dooley Wilson, Casablanca, Pompey Bloomer Girls.” Small ding to top edge, some light contrast to a few letters of signature and notation, and some light silvering to top left corner, otherwise fine condition. A scarce autograph in any form, even more so with the inclusion of the film’s famous song.
