<tr>
<td width="100%">
A fine 2-tone overlay white Peking glass snuff bottle, ca.18th-19th century. Dimensions are 2-1/4" tall, 2-3/16" widest, 1-3/16" thickest. The form is of slightly flattened spherical shape with a short thick foot rim. The milky white opaque body is overlayed in red and black glass. The black and red glass body and mouth rim was expertly carved down to reveal in high relief: a black Han styled high relief dragon amid exploding red flames and a fine rounded mouth rim. There are ample air bubbles throughout the multi-colored layers of glass. The stopper appears to be made of an translucent amber quartz-like mineral and possibly original, thought the spoon and cork base is much newer. Condition consensus is extremely fine condition without any injury or repair.
