Unusual item - but a great find!</em></td>

<tr>
<td width="100%">
A little egg-shaped carved coquilla nut case - it unscrews at the middle. It may be a thimble holder, or possibly for putting spices in and using as a pomander. It could also be a nutmeg holder - and the perforations on the outer shell could well be enough to use as a grater for the nutmeg. Measures 5.5cm high (2.1/4 inches) and 4cm (1.1/2 inches) diameter. Excellent condition.
