Can you imagine how many hours went into the carving of this gorgeous Chopstick Holder! These items were very popular in the Quing Dynasty up to about 1910-1911. After that, the modernistic group set in, and the making of these pretty much died out. This particular one is in excellent condition with no cracks even though it is a large, heavy bamboo piece. It measures approx. 12.5" in height and approx. 6" in width. This one shows a favorite theme of the Chinese and comes from the village of Suchow in the Fujian Province.
