Most cartes-de-viste are annotated in ink under image and in pencil on verso by various photographers. Portraits include: Prince Jerome Bonaparte, Prince Murat, Garibaldi, Robert Peel, Alexander Dumas, Baron de Rothschild and Victor Emmanuel.
