Signed book set: The Works of the Rt. Hon. Lord Byron, Vol. 1–8. NY: William Borradale, 1825. Hardcovers bound in full morocco, 3 x 5.25, totaling 2,680 pages. Signed on an opening page of each volume in ink, "Caroline C. McIntosh." This set reproduces the entire oeuvre of Lord Byron, ranging from epic poems like Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and Don Juan, to individual poems from the Hebrew Melodies. Each volume contains a frontispiece engraving illustrating one of his works. Autographic condition: fine. Book conditions: VG/None, with repairs to detached covers to Volumes III and VIII, scattered foxing, various inventory notations, and isolated closed tears and loss to corners and edges. Deaccessioned from the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Library, the institution founded by Millard and Abigail Fillmore.
