Soldier (1919–1986) who was one of only four men awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism on D-Day. World War II-era ink signature, “Cpl. Carlton W. Barrett, U. S. Army,” on an off-white 4.5 x 1 slip affixed to a slightly larger board. In very good condition, with old tape to edges over a couple letters of signature and light show-through from writing on reverse.
