Contract, signed “Carl M. Yastrzemski,” six pages on three adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 11, February 15, 1974. American League uniform player's contract in which Carl Yastrzemski agrees to render "skilled services as a baseball player during the year 1975" for the Boston Red Sox, for a salary of $175,000 per season. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Yastrzemski and countersigned by Red Sox General Manager Dick O'Connell and American League President Lee MacPhail. In fine condition.

Yastrzemski proved a vital role player in the Red Sox's trip to the World Series in 1975. The Red Sox battled with Cincinnati's 'Big Red Machine' over a seven-game classic, with the Reds ultimately going ahead 4-3 in the top of the ninth on a Joe Morgan bloop single. Yastrzemski flied out to center to end a World Series considered by many to be one of the greatest in history.
