Title is Superior National Forest. 25 1/2" by 29 1/2" framed. Carl Wendell Rawson (1884 - 1970) was active/lived in Minnesota, Iowa. Carl Rawson is known for Impressionist landscape, coastal view and portrait painting, cartooning. Carl Rawson was a landscape and portrait painter born in Des Moines, Iowa. He made his home in Minneapolis, living at one time at 637 Kenwood Parkway. He studied at the Cumming Art School, the Minneapolis School of Art and the National Academy of Design. His work was in Minneapolis in the Minneapolis Golf Club, the Winona Country Club and Northwestern Bank. It was also in the state capitol building of North Dakota, the Mayo Clinic at Rochester and the College of Surgeons in Chicago.
