<B>Poet Carl Sandburg Collection of Autograph Material</B></I>. A lot of four from the famous American poet including a signed program from a 1946 reunion of the 6th Illinois Volunteer Infantry which the poet was a member during the invasion of Puerto Rico; a 5" x 3" card inscribed "<I>Rev. Walter B. Leis with respect and good wishes Carl Sandburg 1949</B></I>"; an autograph toast on a 3.75" x 4.75" piece of paper which reads: "<I>Mildred Saffold who is great hearted and worthy of the toast: may the road to hell grow green waiting for you. Carl Sandburg 1952</B></I>"; and a short autograph note, 4" x 7", on Sandburg's personal memorandum stock which reads: "<I>Dear Miss Wohl - Thank you for Brother Ceviron's brochure of poems. I have enjoyed them & will reread them." Yrs Carl Sandburg</B></I>".
