Baseball Hall of Famer (1903–1988). Vintage glossy 6.5 x 8.5 photo of Hubbell warming up for the New York Giants, neatly signed in fountain pen. A few light creases and surface scratches, chipping to the emulsion at the extreme top edge, and two small newsroom crop marks, otherwise fine condition. In the 1934 All-Star game played at the Polo Grounds, Hubbell set a record by striking out in succession five batters destined for Cooperstown: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin.
