Caring For American Soldiers In England 21" x 14" Artist: unsigned. A small sized poster which depicts an American doughboy walking down a London street; Big Ben and Buckingham Palace are visible in the background. The poster essentially extols Britain for their hospitable and warm treatment of the soldiers as they had passed through the country. A portion of the text reads "The presence of large numbers of Americans called for relief work expenditures in English of $4,313,566.00 up to June 30th 1918. Plans to carry on this work to the end of the year call for additional disbursements of $4,483,800.00. Beginning with the moment the American soldier leaves the home shore, the American Red Cross is ready to help at the first call." This poster praises not only England, the Red Cross, and soldiers but also the American people for all its donation which make the Red Cross's efforts possible. A wonderful poster!

Condition-Superior; dirt residue on lower edge.
