<B>Captain Midnight #1 Crowley Copy/File Copy (Fawcett, 1942) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> As was the norm for a new Fawcett #1 issue, Captain Marvel introduced readers to the star of radio and film, Captain Midnight, for the first time on the cover. There had been other Captain Midnight appearances in titles such as <B>The Funnies</B></I> but he had more of a flyboy appearance than the superhero look the he sported on this cover (credited to Mac Raboy). Jack Binder contributed the art to this 68-pager. This copy has two Checking Copy stamps on the cover. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $2,015.
