Captain Kangaroo jacket screen-worn during the early years of the popular children's program. Prior to the red suit jacket, Captain Kangaroo wore a darker-colored coat for the first 17 seasons of the series. Nautical-inspired black suit jacket is almost identical to the later red coat design and features brass buttons at pockets and sleeves, as well as thick rope-like trim to collar and pockets. With an ''Academy Award Clothes'' tag sewn inside. No size, though measures 18'' x 35''. Also includes a black ''Don Loper of California'' brand tie. Near fine to fine.
