Bound scripts from the first ever Saturday episodes of Captain Kangaroo, personally owned by Bob Keeshan with his bookplates on most of the volumes. Nine-volume set contains Saturday scripts from 7 January 1956 through 26 December 1958. Episodes are numbered #S-1 through #S-156. Scattered notations by an unknown hand appear throughout. Two volumes contain Keeshan's name written ''BOB KEESHAN'' in black felt tip to their first pages. In addition, his name appears again printed upon bookplates affixed to the front free endpapers of several volumes in the lot. Scripts are bound in black cloth boards with gilt lettering and all edges red. Nine volumes each measure 9'' x 11'' and together weigh 33 pounds. Some cocking to spines, else near fine.
