Robert F. Kennedy's funerary materials sent to Captain Kangaroo, Bob Keeshan. Archive includes (1) Western Union telegram from the Kennedy Family dated 7 June 1968 inviting Keeshan to RFK's funeral mass. Instructions read in part: ''…This telegram will admit only the person or persons to whom it is addressed and must be retained and presented for identification…'' (2) Program from the mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. (3) Printed thank you note from Ethel Kennedy that reads in part, ''We are consoled to know that you share our sorrow and that the love he gave is returned in full measure…'' (4) Two identical memorial cards with a photo of Kennedy and quote from one of his speeches. (5) Envelope addressed to Keeshan at his New York address. Creasing to telegram and staining to program. Very good overall.
