Guille specialised in scenes from the Irish hunt, including the Waterford Hounds, the Westmeath Hounds and the Scarteen Hounds of Co. Limerick among others. The present works depict The Galway Hounds ("Blazers") A hunt from Waterview to Turloughmore, the second, The Kilkenny Hounds, A hunt from Coolnaimond to Lukesuell. Each work has a pencil vignette on the mount; the first depicts a fox in the grounds of Creug [sic] Castle, the second a lone fox in flight. The Galway Hounds ("Blazers") contains a detailed breakdown of named riders and hounds with illustrations and inscriptions on paper affixed on reverse. It reads, "From sketches made in kennels in Nov 1965. The hill in far distance on left is Castle Hackett. Waterview Covert is on extreme right and Corofin Church to the right of it." Riders and horses listed include, Dan Clark, 1st Whipper-in on Derry William, Lady Hemphill on 'Magic', Lady Amptill, Mr Derek Trench Hon. Sec., Mr Paddy Pickersgill Joint M.F.H. [Master of fox hounds] & Huntsman on 'Cash' and Mrs Pickergill. Foxhounds listed; Romany, Trident, Triumph, Rommel, Vengance, Viscount, Talent, Tangle, Desmond, Tartar, Craftsman and Treasure. A charming pair.
