Two-page Cape of Good Hope slave grant, dated 15 October 1678, signed by two members of the Dutch East India Company's Privy Council at the Castle of the Cape of Good Hope, the newly-built Dutch fort in South Africa. The 8'' x 12.75'' document shows general wear, folds and some ink showthrough. Ink is still vibrant despite minor dampstaining. Overall in very good condition.
