Canvas and leather over wood carrying case with brass enforcements showing “James Purdy & Sons Ltd” label on interior of lid with address “South Audley Street / London”. The interior shows 5 grooves for dividers which are missing and is lined with green felt at top and bottom. The exterior of the case is made similar to a gun case with leather over canvas, leather straps, and a leather carry handle with deluxe brass mounts. The exterior of the case shows some fraying, small losses and some carry and use. The case measures approx. 15-1/4” by 18-3/4” by 5-1/2” deep. A great accessory for the Purdy shotgun collector that is seldom seen, and most of these have been turned into pistol cases in more modern times. Est: $400 - $800
