Cannon barrel pocket pistol of continental origin probably French converted from flintlock to percussion and originally made about 1780 and converted in early 19th century. The pistol measures 7” overall with approximately 3” stagedcannon barrel of approximately 38 caliber with false rifling. The condition is fine to near excellent showing generous traces of original case hardening on frame barrel and mounts. At least 20% to 30% case hardening remains with good sharpmetal surfaces and good quality engraving. The grip is in near fine condition with just a few minor and light scratches. The barrel shows a lug for removal by wrench or key. Est.: $250-$500
