Highly regarded French painter (1830–1903), one of the leading figures of the impressionist movement, best known for his distinctive pointillist style. Original etching and drypoint portrait entitled ‘Quai de Paris a Rouen,’ 9 x 8.75, depicting a river front scene with a horse drawn carriage in the foreground and a part of the city in the background, signed in pencil in the lower border, “C. Pissarro,” and also notated in the lower left of the bottom border, “Ep. d'art no 2.” In fine condition, with light toning to borders, as well as some scattered light foxing. Provenance: William H. Schab Gallery, New York. A rare opportunity to acquire an original Pissarro artwork.
