French landscape painter identified with the Barbizon School. ALS, in French, signed, “G. Uncle C. Corot,” one page, 5.25 x 8, dated September 1, 1863. Corot writes about an appointment which is canceled and says that he met his nephew's mother the day before. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. In very good condition, with paper loss to vertical edges, intersecting mailing folds, and light overall toning.
