This features a relief hand carved Carnelian shell cameo & silver brooch. The piece was appraised by Greenleafs Jewelry Inc. in Bozeman, MT as being the following: One cameo brooch. Silver frame with hinged pin and “C” catch on back, set with one Carnelian shell cameo approximately 47mm x 37mm, oval cameo carved with a standing woman with a vase of flowers, harp and window scene. Shell is cracked on back. Pin frame is broken. 5.90 DWT. Valued over $200.00. The piece appears to be from the 18th to19th century and is from the Anne Moore Estate, direct relative of Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783.
