Cambrian Railways 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The body is stamped "CASTLE CAERENION WELSHPOOL" and plated "MARCHWIEL". The reducing cone is plated "CAM RYS". Complete with its original vessel stamped "Cam Rlys. Makers Oswestry"; brass/ceramic burner; reflector, and all glasses. Unrestored. Note Castle Caerenion station, on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway from Welshpool to Llanfair Caerenion, opened in 1903 and closed in 1931 only to be reopened in 1963 by the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway Preservation Society. Marchwiel station, on the Wrexham to Bangor-on-Dee line, opened in 1895 and closed in 1962. (see Lot 348).
