<B>Norodom I Pattern Piastre-Peso 1860,</B></I> similar to KM-X9 but apparently struck on a silver plated bronze planchet with weight 24.50 grams instead of the 27.0 weight of the regular silver issue. Gadoury reported strikings in silver, gold, copper and tin but the existence of this preparation appears to be previously unknown. In our opinion this coin is unquestionably struck from original dies and not a later restrike as the surfaces are pristine and completely free of any die erosion. An exciting discovery coin which adds another prestige coin to the list of world trade dollars.
