Signed book: Have Faith in Massachusetts. First edition. NY: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1919. Hardcover with dustjacket, 5.5 x 8, 224 pages. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the half-title page, “To Hon. Hiram Bingham, With Regards, Calvin Coolidge.” In very good condition with light toning, slight vertical bend to the signature page, pencil markings on some of the pages, and creasing and a tear across the covers and spine of the dustjacket repaired on the back with old tape, and light wear to boards and spine. Accompanied by a custom-made slipcase. Bingham was a a senator from Connecticut and explorer who rediscovered the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
