TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, April 4, 1930. Letter to George Horace Loramer, in full: “For a great many years, I have been a devoted reader of the Saturday Evening Post and it seems to me that it must be an enormous influence for good. It is especially sound on economic questions. I have not quite agreed with it about some of our Foreign affairs as you know. I am writing to you because since I have come home it has seemed to me that the Country was turning away from a position of sound economics. I cannot point to any specific evidence so that it is only a vague impression. I thought I would ask you if you have anything of the same feeling. For many years after the war, I felt we were making steady progress in the right direction.” Coolidge adds a handwritten notation to the upper left. In very good condition, with overall irregular toning and intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a portion of the signature).
