Lot of 6: 1) Beautiful cobalt seltzer bottle, 12", with top, by 4" wide. “Nevada Packing Co.” top logo matches bottle’s decorative front etching “Property of Nevada Packing Company Reno, Nevada.” Siphon tube intact, maker’s mark on the bottom indicates “Made in Czechoslovakia.” This c1907-1910 bottle shows very little wear and the lower portion of the inside bears mineral deposits. Cobalt seltzers such as this are extremely rare, with perhaps five specimens known in collections, and "may have been presented as Christmas gifts for the company’s clients” [Ref: Nevada History Through Glass, Vol 1, Fred Holabird, 2012, p. 104]. 2) Seltzer 11.5" tall, with top, which is missing screw-on cap, by 4" wide. “Silver” is engraved on the top, intact siphon tube. “Wieland Bottling Works Reno, Nev.” etched on front. Center front etched “H.C. Heidtmann Phone 109.” No maker’s mark, and the bottle still contains some amber liquid. Clear glass, multiple small bubbles throughout surface, moderate interior staining. Harry C. Heidtmann managed the Wieland Saloon for Otto Benschuetz during the 1910s [Ref: Nevada History Through Glass, Vol 1, Fred Holabird, 2012, pp. 144-5]. 3) The remaining 4 bottles in this lot of 6 are well-known Shasta Water Company seltzers. All are 12" tall, with tops, by 4" wide. All tops match the bottles with a “Shasta Water” logo. Three of the siphon tubes are intact, the last broken in half. Three of the bottles are embossed “Shasta Water” on front and reverse, with “Property of Shasta Water Co.” embossed on the front center. The lower fronts of these three are embossed with “San Francisco.” Two of these three bottles bear a “Made in Czecho-Slovakia” maker’s mark while the third bears none. The fourth bears an embossed “Property of The Shasta Water Co. 15” front and an embossed “Shasta Water” rear, no maker’s mark. All 4 clear glass with signs of wear and staining. This lot is stored in a green wooden "Silver State Syphons Reno" crate. -59435
