Cert. #57, issued at Anaheim, California in 1879. Small beehive vignette. Issued to N.J. Wolby and signed by R.H. Gilman, vice-president. Location of Works, Los Angeles County at the top. Shares were $100 Each with 250 shares authorized. Our certificate was issued for 1/2 share. The company built a ditch 15 miles long and 8' wide for irrigation, terminating in Anaheim. Much of the ditch was blasted through solid rock and over 3,000 feet of flumes were built. Portions of the Cajon ditch can still be seen on the north side of the Santa Ana Canyon. There's a small hole in the bottom right corner and some brown spotting. The stock was endorsed on the back, but not cancelled. Very rare, only two known examples.
