<B>Cabinet Card - Studio portrait of two Kiowa girls dressed in traditional attire</B></I><BR>W.P. Bliss worked at Fort Sill between 1873 and 1875<BR>Length 6 1/2 in. Width 4 1/4 in.<BR><BR>The girl on the left is seated on a chair draped with a buffalo robe. She is wearing a painted hide dress with several rows of elk teeth decoration. The standing girl is wearing a wool cloth dress heavily embellished with elk teeth. Both children are wearing leather belts decorated with German silver conchos, the belt pendants visible with each. The reverse side bears the studio imprint of "W.P. Bliss, Photographer, Fort Sill, Indian Territory".
