Featured in this lot is this Lakota Sioux beaded knife sheath circa 20th century. The knife sheath features a wonderfully and professionally crafted Indian tanned hide and Parfleche hide with trade seed beads adorning the face of the sheath that includes coloration of chalk white, medium blue, yellow, medium red, and sky blue. The face of the knife sheath shows classic Sioux geometric patterns that adorn the entirety of the face of the sheath. The condition of this Lakota Sioux knife sheath is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this knife sheath is 11" x 3". The collective weight of this knife sheath in a rykker box is 1lb 2oz.
Provenance: From a prominent ex-Bozeman private collection who purchased the majority of his collection from Cowan's, Skinner, Bonhams, Morphy's, Sotheby's, March in Montana, North American Auction and other well revered auction houses.
