Offered in this lot is a Navy Civil Security Force Naval Ammo Depot guard badge dating to circa 1943-1950's. The badge shows metal construction with embossed designs across the face of the badge. The top of the badge displays a bald eagle design with an eagle and shield design at the center of the badge. The face of the badge is marked "Guard Civil Security Force N.A.D. Earle. N.J.". The back of the badge is marked "F. G. Clover Co New York, N.Y.". The Naval Ammunition Depot Earle was opened in 1943 and would supply Naval Battleships with munitions during the end of World War II into the Korean War, eventually the name was changed to Naval Weapons Station Earle in 1974. This is a wonderful early badge with nice makers stamp. The piece shows fair condition overall and some wear. The badge measures 2 3/4" tall by 2 1/4" wide.
