The lot features a collection of A.B. Welch collection B.L. Brigham 1920’s photographs of various Sioux and Northern Plains Native American Indians and are marked on the reverse Art Studio New Salem, North Dakota circa 1922. There are a total of five silver gelatin portrait photographs in this collection. All of them are from Art Studio New Salem, North Dakota and from 1922. The portraits include photographs of prominent Native People including: Hohanlutawin, Mrs. Two Bears, Brown Face, Chief Reo Fisch, and Chief Kuwapi. The condition of this collection of gelatin silver portraits of prominent Native people is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of each of these portraits is 7" x 5". The collective weight of this collection is U4oz.
