This is an original circa 1900 photograph stereoview / stereograph by T.W. Ingersoll No. 3255 The Old Bucks in Council Sioux Tribe. The photograph is by Truman Ward (1862-1922) and is in the Library of Congress collection noted as circa 1900. The image shows four Sioux elders with a catlinite pipestone “T” pipe, several painted war shields with feathered headdresses and single feathers in their hair sitting in front of several buffalo tipi lodges.
