This is an excellent circa 1900 Indian tanned beaded drawstring pouch from the Apache Indians of the Southwest. The bag consists of Indian tanned buckskin that is covered in glass trade seed beadwork on both sides as well as a fancy edge bordering the entire piece and amazing beaded fringes, all in early 1900 to late 1800's glass trade seed beads. The bag shows colors of greasy blue, greasy yellow, cobalt, chalk white, greasy white, semi-transparent green, semi-transparent red. The top has an Indian tanned buckskin hide drawstring. The hide has a wear trhough spot with slight bead loss on one side. Truly a beautiful piece. Measures overall 17"L by 5 3/8"W.
