<td width="100%">
This is a beautiful cut glass candy box from the 1920's to the 1940's era of elegant glass. The style of cutting is probably refered to as Waterford style with the simple cut X's. This is the type of pressed cut glass that was made by many firms such as Imperial, Duncan Miller, Fostoria, Fenton, Tiffin and Heisey. The box is 5-1/5" tall to the top of the egg shaped finial and 6-1/4" in diameter. The box without the lid is 2-1/4" deep. The bottom rim is ground and polished, an extra step in manufacturing quality glassware of the period. There is honest wear shown on this bottom rim too. The glass does have some lead content in it. The box is in perfect condition with no chips, flakes or cracks.
