CURRIER AND IVES LINCOLN POLITICAL CARTOON. Lithograph political cartoon by Currier & Ives, NY, 1860. The cartoon shows Steven Douglas over Columbia's knees, with Uncle Sam saying, "...give him the Stripes till he sees Stars." Columbia's balloon references the Kansas-Nebraska Bill and all the trouble it caused. Print is framed under glass with 12 x 13" visible, light toning, some damp staining of mat, but print not removed from frame for examination.
