Three matching pieces of Victorian silverplate by Rogers & Brothers. The elegant design may be inspired by the Pre-
Raphaelite aesthetic and Arts & Crafts. They are decorated with
bands of leaves and flowers including lotus, blackberry, violet,
grass and rose. The handles are Greek darts and other details
are of Classical origin. The pieces stand on little feet.

The butter server is GREAT. It has a beveled glass liner. Under this dish is an engraved scene of CUPID in a boat drawn
by birds-of-paradise. He holds a note on which are engraved the words - for you. This is a wonderful example of a high-Victorian
VALENTINE.
