CUBA: Isabel II, 1833-1868, AR 2 reales, ND (1841), KM-1.2, lattice countermark with star at center on 1778-CF Spain 2 reales, Seville mint, holed, Fine. In 1841, the Spanish authorities in Cuba ordered all circulating silver to be devalued and countermarked with a lattice punch. The countermarked silver was then permitted to circulate in Trinidad, Santiago, and Puerto Principle (then the capital of Haiti).
