Collected and written in French by himself ; revised and published in English by Sir Harbottle Grimston … The third impression, carefully collected, with the addition of many thousand of references never before printed. Printed by W. Rawlins, S. Roycroft, and H. Sawbridge … , 1683FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, with 2 engraved portrait frontispieces after Richard White, pages (24), 472, 457(bis) - 920, (40), with the licence leaf : (22), 620, 617(bis) - 700, (22), (2, blank) : (30), 610, (66), with the licence leaf, 3 vols, folio, uniform contemporary calf : the bindings rubbed and worn, the joints cracked (one inner hinge strengthened) but the bindings still strong, otherwise a very good set with the contemporary signature of Samuel Monsell and the Tervoe bookplate.Wing C 7013. The first edition in English (the first and second editions were in law French) of these valuable reports covering a period of some sixty years (Elizabeth, James and Charles).
