COUNTRY CHIPPENDALE TWO-PIECE CORNER CUPBOARD WITH BRIGHTLY PAINTED DECORATION. Pennsylvania. The surface has been carefully cleaned down to the original red and brick colored flame decoration with an old yellow on the trim. Black paint on the base. Bracket feet and a well-shaped apron with a thin picture frame molding around the edges of the case. Paneled door in the base with a dovetailed drawer. Single arched door top with elaborate mullion designs. Broken arch and scalloping on the crest with three turned finials and two rosettes. Areas of touch up. Interior is painted in a later cream color and white inside the base. Case is 46"w. 24"d. 93"h.
