COPPER ARROW WEATHERVANE WITH FLORAL SPIRE.
Late 19th century, New England. The arrow with iron or zinc point and sheet copper fleches mounted on a shaft emitting four outswept iron branches, each terminating in a sheet copper flower head. The shaft continuing to a ball finial with spire. Weathervane offered with original roof mount and wrought iron directionals. SIZE: 32" h of weathervane. 76" h overall. 37-1/2" l of arrow. PROVENANCE: From a private Waterville, Maine collection. CONDITION: With old repairs and re-gilded surfaces. The arrow is believed to be of the period as are the directionals and roof mount. The four flower arms and brass spire finial believed to be later additions. Directionals with losses. Otherwise good. 9-29595
