(CONFEDERATE BOND LOT)
"A great grouping of four one thousand dollar Confederate States bonds. All are government loans except for the last which is a cotton bond loan. The first depicts ""Stonewall"" Jackson, issued Feb. 20, 1863; the second depicts President Davis and the city of Richmond, issued Feb. 20, 1863; the third depicts the Old Custom House, issued Mar. 23, 1863, and the fourth depicts Secretary of War Seddon, issued Apr. 30, 1863. Each loan has its coupons removed up until the surrender of the Confederacy, thereby showing that these were actually used during the war. Usual margin tears, folds, and wear affect the documents, else very good." 2471 A great grouping of four one thousand dollar Confederate States bonds.
