COLT CIVILIAN MODEL 1860 ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. Standard Army with 8” round bbl, German silver front sight, rebated cylinder, silver-plated brass trigger guard and iron backstrap with 1-pc walnut grips. The left grip has an “X” carved near the frame. SN 151582. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except for wedge which is unnumbered but appears original to this revolver. Bbl retains about 90% strong bright, glossy blue with scattered flaked spots turned to patina. The operating handle and rammer retain most of their original dark case colors. The frame and hammer retain most of their original case colors, faded with some spotting on the left side and faded on the right side. The recoil shields and sides of the hammer have bright color with the top edge of the hammer dark. The cylinder retains about 75% original blue mixed with flaked patina and one area of light surface pitting. Retains about 93-95% of its Naval battle scene. All 6 safety pins are mostly intact. The trigger guard retains 10-15% thin silver plating with the balance a medium mustard patina, the backstrap about 60% freckled blue. Grips are sound and retain virtually all their original varnish except for the “X” and a couple of minor handling marks. The bore is bright and shiny with scattered light pitting. 4-50076
