<B>COKE'S HARTEBEEST SHOULDER MOUNT</B></I><BR> <I>Alcelaphus buselaphus cokei</B></I><BR>These beautiful hartebeest are found in Tanzania and Kenya and were named for Colonel Coke who, in 1880, took one near Usagara, Tanzania. It was the first complete specimen to reach Europe, and was the example from which the subspecies was described for science. In Swahili it is known as the kongoni.
